The Nook is a purpose built provision for our amazing ASD super heroes!

The Royal Borough of Greenwich asked Waterside to open this section, as they recognised our strong commitment to supporting pupils with highly complex needs and the success we have had in supporting them on their educational and personal journeys.

Firstly, don't panic! 

Below is a presentation on Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder (created by Ms Stone) which will offer you some information on ASD and SPD.

How to apply for a place?

The Nook supports the most complex of ASD super heroes and usually only pupils in Year 5 and 6.

Your school needs to contact the SEN Department at the Royal Borough of Greenwich and then if agreed, there will be a complex needs panel arranged for admissions, which includes panel members from the school, the SEN Department, Educational Psychology and ASD Outreach.
